Softball & Baseball Turf Shoes
Walking to a baseball or softball game in your tuff shoes is an inimitable feeling, one filled with excitement…and sometimes anxiousness.
In order to do your best in the field, on the bases, and at the plate, it’s essential you have the right footwear on your feet. Baseball Bargains offers an array of baseball turf shoes and softball turf shoes. Our inventory includes adult and youth metal cleats and molded plastic ones. We also have coaches' footwear, cleats, and other options that will enhance your play on the field.
When selecting the right cleats for your needs, you should consider the type of material the cleat or shoe is made from (genuine leather, synthetic leather, mesh etc.) and how strong the ankle support is. For example, if you have a history of ankle sprains or want extra support to help prevent them from occurring, then you should strongly consider high tops which provide extra protection though it may decrease flexibility. Conversely, if you’re looking to make rapid lateral movements, then you should strongly consider low tops. And if you fall directly between those two endpoints, then go with some mid tops!
Keep in mind that turf shoes and cleats tend to run a bit smaller than sneakers shoe sizes do, so keep that in mind when choosing a size. Ideally, you should have just about a quarter inch of room in the front of the cleat, and the back of your foot should fit snugly in the shoe. What’s more, cleats will loosen as you break them in, so if you’re between the sizes, you should generally go with the smaller one.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Footwear
Getting the most information you can before you choose your cleats or turf shoes will help you select the best model for your needs.
Should I buy Turf Shoes or Cleats?
That depends on where you play most of your games. If you play on grass fields and turf fields, you may want to have a pair of cleats for the grass field and turf shoes when you play on the artificial turf fields.
Can I use Cleats on Turf Fields?
You can use molded baseball cleats on turf fields, but they will not give you as much traction as turf shoes. Metal cleats are typically banned for use on turf fields as they are bad for the turf.
Which Type of Footwear Provides the Most Stability on the Field.?
Since turf shoes have many more treads on them than baseball or softball cleats, they provide the most support and stability to your feet. So, if you have chronic ankle or foot problems, you would be wise to use turf shoes when you play.
